Today as she did everyday Emma was in the library. As far as Emma was concerned this was the very best place in the world for her to be. You will be familiar with the fantasy book she was reading, a classic…She had read Snow White many times before and never grew tired of it. As she was reading Emma was aware that something fell off one of the shelves. It started to glow as Emma picked it up and opened it, it was a book about myths. The words were full of intrigue and mystery, drawing you further and further in as each page was turned.
The first myth said this. An explorer found 6 pillars, 1 had fire on it, 1 had a river, 1 had the sign of wind and 1 had ice. The other 2 were unknown. The 2 that were unknown had symbols on them, a swirl and a book. Emma continued to read and when she finished reading the first myth in the book of myths, the book disappeared.
Suddenly, where the book of myths had been a golden key appeared. It seemed to Emma that reading the first myth in the book of myths with its golden glow provided a way for the golden key to be revealed. Asking around it became clear that no-one else could see the golden key and after checking realised the key did not fit any of the doors or windows or indeed, any keyhole in the whole of the library.
A light began to glow on the library floor and as it did a keyhole appeared. Emma placed the golden key in the lock and began to turn. No-one else in the room could see the golden key in her hand and they all thought she was miming. They gave her coins as if in some way acknowledging the mime she was doing although it was only Emma who could truly see. Taking the coins with her Emma jumped through the unlocked door on the floor and found herself in front of the 6 pillars from the book. There was a clue, it said
“I’m bright when dark and dark when bright, go at that time and sit on a bench”
So, Emma did just that and as she went on her way picked a gem off a tree and said, “It’s the fire gem” and a river of lava appeared in front of her. She pulled a torch like a lever that was attached to the wall and a bridge came. She crossed the bridge and as she did so an injured goblin came to her and she healed him. Afterwards she got the red gem back which had gone missing and then there was a second mission to climb a mountain to retrieve a blue gem. After accomplishing this she got the remainder of the gems and put them on the 6 pillars. A magical person then said “You have the 5th and 6th magical secret powers”. Emma then appeared back in the library and she used her magical powers for good. Jasmine(9) and John Lowton
