Amber’s home was far away across the field, hidden out of site except for 2 chimney pots peaking into view. During the long summer holidays Amber would come to the bridge every evening; her hair windswept and flowing in the breeze. Lazily she made her way skirting round the field along the worn pathway by the hedgerow until, she came to the river. The bridge was very beautiful and full of character, made of old stone with golden patterns on the wall. Trees formed a resplendent archway, with precious gems hanging down, stones of fire and healing gems, red and blue. There were sapphires, rubies and emeralds and also gems never seen before. The river that ran under the bridge was a habitat for many animals, there was the summer frog, a golden colour with a sun symbol on its belly, the galaxy fish with scales the colour of the galaxy and thirdly, the sun fish which only appeared during the bright summer season. Ambers evenings were spent in harmoney with her surroundings, lost in the mystery of her magical world. Indeed, there was a certainty few others experienced, that it was for times like this, that she had been chosen. Jasmine (9) and John Lowton
