- Autumn Breeze
As the sycamore and ash seeds fall, watch them scatter with joyful abandon, hap-hazardously carried……the autumn breeze.
Did you see where all the seeds fell? Impossible to catch, let them flutter; allow them to fly, their asymmetric wing shape carrying them far away, nothing uniform, the wind of the spirit blowing them across the land
Watch and pray, who knows where?
North and south, east and west
For each seed has a passion uniquely apportioned, creativity and truth….form a foundation.
One day as you journey and take rest you will see, familiar saplings in places that surprise you, growing where the wind took them in places you didn’t expect, bowing down…..a show of respect as you pass.
Well done my good and faithful servants
Response: That’s beautiful. Thank you so much. A precious thought so exquisitely expressed. We will print it out and frame it. - Oasis
An oasis in the desert where the thirsty thrive
Finding hope and strength to keep them-selves alive.
Caravans travelling in the sweltering sun
The vital gift of life has only just begun.
You have a proven strength, timely, deep and strong
A delightful precious gift, a very special song.
I see the thirsty coming, a desert well so clear
A holy, living place, somewhere to bring their fears.
Amen
"Absolutely beautiful, thank you so much" - A different way
XXXXX is a Scott’s boy with an infectious laughing smile
He wears a Leeds kit easily and fits a kilt with style
He knows what he wants and loves to hold your heart
A very special child an amazing work of art
One day he’ll be a leader with a kind embracing way
XXXXX you are chosen to live a different way
I hear the crowds are singing shouting out your name
With humility and joy, that will be your game
"Thanks John, very well said"
This was written at a party to celebrate the birth of a child - Much Loved
Embracing pain from a broken heart
Pearls formed in strife, set you apart
Strength gained in the darkest days
To negotiate life’s stubborn maze
You are much loved, more than you know
Let the laughter overflow
Family and friends, more and more
Allow their waves to reach your shore
Fun and joy, it comes your way
Rest in this love from day to day
Amen
Wow John! Such beautiful words. I will cram them and use them forever! Thank you from the bottom of my heart 🙏🏽🙏🏽😇😇❤❤ - Family Tree
A driving motivation from within, a family girl, forever young at heart, forever grateful,
Can you hear the cry?
An invitation “Come experience the love of Mother and Fathers guiding hand”
The call to belong, placing the orphans and like a lioness, gently carrying your children
In family, everything finds context, as you journey.
Everything that has been and is yet to come
Everything seen and unseen
All knowledge and understanding and every colour of the rainbow
Finding purpose together on one tree,
A family tree, the Tree of Life
"It is so apt and so true that it moves me till today". - STANDING
I’ve seen you standing in the rain
Dripping wet and feeling pain
I’ve seen you standing in the snow
The blizzards beating to and fro
It’s tough to stand, sharing hope
The reality is it’s hard to cope
It’s OK, laugh and cry
Scream and shout and question why
I am the weatherman, trust in me
In the storms where all can see.John, thank you so so much. To be honest I really don’t have the words to tell you how much your poem touched my heart and my spirit. All I can say is that God spoke to me as I read His words. I will always treasure this.
- Life’s Journey
Journeying onward, travelling light
Finding a home with the stars at night
A transcendent pulse, searching long,
The essence of life is your song.
Pyramids and giants, mysterious ways,
The heavenly hosts share your days.
Hear the beat, on and on,
The Father in Heaven loves his son.
It’s time to live again.
“Thank you pal” - Soulmate
Darkened anguish and empty shroud
I’ve seen you smiling through the crowd.
Splashing joy and speaking life
An easy Rhythm where there’s strife.
I hear them cheering all around,
The heavenly hosts making sound.
There’s only one name on their lips,
As they sway and shout and move their hips
AGA, AGA is their cry.
Well done my good and faithful servant
“I am without words and tears in my eyes! Thank you John.
I am speechless. I feel that God’s blessings have poured on me through you. I do feel really blessed. Your gifts are God given and need to be shared with everyone”. - The Still Small Voice
My gifted one with a transparent heart
My precious child, always believing.
Grateful souls cheering you on,
Walk the streets and you can hear their song.
In the legends of life, you have great fame.
In the alleys and byways, they whisper your name.
A healing ointment in your palm
And offering praise is your psalm.
Stand tall, be strong, you have nothing to prove,
Those around will have to move.
Make way, make way,
AB is here.
It’s time to live again.
“Oh my gosh.
This is incredible. I absolutely love it.
Thank you so much, I am so grateful that you took the time to write this for me
God Bless,” xxx - The Journey
Through the Arctic Tundra, not a friend in site
In the urban cities, bringing hope and light.
Night-time in the jungle, insects, snakes and slime,
Travelling in the desert, thirsty all the time.
Befriending other travellers, beaten up along the way,
An expert at adapting, speaking hope day by day.
I’ve seen your brave heart spirit, never ceasing in the race,
My father’s arms enfold you, with a passionate embrace.
The journeys are exciting but I love the downtimes too,
The Father and you alone as one, buddies through and through.
It’s time to live again.
"Wow John, that touched my heart!!!! I shall keep this and treasure it!" - That’s Me
Gifted and addicted, the fame and the pain
Bed mates together, pride and shame
Loved and loathed, the circle of life
Scaling heights, wonder and strife
The mysteries of time, a panoramic view
Comes crashing down, right on cue
Celebrity status, all can see
The tumultuous journey, being me
Hero to zero, rollercoaster ride
Few friends remain at my side
I try to hide, but not for long
The colourful me bursts out in song
Gifted and addicted, hold my hand
My painful travel to the promised land
It’s time to live again - Be Yourself
Such gifted brothers all around
It’s taken time to hit the ground.
Running fast, a different track
Absolutely nothing that you lack.
Such pride in you, the road you take,
True to you nothing fake
The time is soon, not so long,
Heavens cheers, a different song
It’s time to live again. - A Different Angle
Stand tall, aim high, clarity of thought,
AB my man, you cannot be bought.
Speaking truth, cutting through bull
A whimsical outlook on the full.
Playfully funny, in from an angle
Not a guy with which to wrangle.
You see it clearly, as it is,
Capturing truth through the glam and fizz - Heart Cry
From deep within I heard your cry
A broken heart, a childlike sigh
A flexibility to embrace, giving and taking in the race.
Changing shape always adapting,
Loving the broken, always believing.
Welcoming with arms…opened wide,
A landing place…. safe to confide.
No need for perfection, no need to elope,
The lost and lonely finding hope.
Keep believing…. your time is near,
A time you’ll shed a different tear.
“This is exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you for your wondrous gift John. Very very touching and beautiful. 🙏❤️✨️ many beautiful blessings to you!!” - Appreciation of Beauty
To appreciate beauty is a special gift,
Seeing treasures within that others don’t see.
Further in where the very essence of life forms and sparkles,
the foundation blocks of a person’s existence.
A broad horizon, colour and options stretching before.
To glide and flow where the wind takes you.
The invitation to others still remains, come…..join me.
Resting in the arms of Father.
“Beautiful so grateful John”. - Symphony
Now is the time for a new fresh start,
A complete reset, from a broken heart.
A line in the sand, raise your head,
This son of the king is not dead.
Observing others, in the know,
A passionate heart, creative flow.
Piecing together, commissioning sound
The seal of heaven can be found.
Affirming, timing, each in place,
The symphony of life, the saviours face.
It’s time to live again.
The declaration in your prophetic poem for me is already coming true!!
A beautiful thing just happened…………………………….. - Life
From questioning life, answers arise,
Discovering truth, exposing lies
From dark battles within truth springs forth
Words of healing, bringing value and worth
A complete transformation, a value shift
A mind renewed, a heavenly gift
From the struggles, a giant walks tall,
Authentically you to one and all
Embrace the journey, it’s what made you,
A lover of truth through and through
“Amazing” - Tears
Many tears were shed, not one drop was wasted, Moments of heartache, shared and tasted.
Tears in time, seasonal showers
Years of joy and traumatic hours
Every tear was named and carefully caught,
Every hill and valley, every battle fought.
Some tears were hidden, locked away, unknown,
Except by the King upon the throne.
Who catches each drop and wants you to hear.
“Well done my good and faithful servant.”
Wow, Thank you John! Just read it as I woke up adding to its………awe x. - Laughter
Uniquely different, an eclectic mix
Abundant life in the mix
Sharper than a butchers knife
Bringing a clarity into life
Your wonderful smile, disarms a mob,
A comfort and ease on the job
Further on and further up
Overflowing from your cup - Nearer to God
The more you journey the less you know,
The more you travel the less you see.
Wisdom gained in a hidden space,
Serving others in the race.
Further on and further up
A healing ointment fills your cup.
A breadth, a depth, hidden wealth
Encouraging others, restoring health.
Many treasures, gems to give,
Bringing worth, life to live.
Thank you John am staggered by how accurate this is. It made me cry. The whole of it felt so like me. - Be Bold
“Stand back, stand back, let the lady through,”
A shuffling of feet and hush so true.
Powerful men making way.
AB is here, no words to say.
Treading on snakes, exposing pride,
The power of forgiveness on your side.
Be confident, be bold, stretch your tent,
All your dreams are heaven sent.
It's time to live again
Very moving John. Powerful. Words. This. Will help me on my journey. With Jesus and life. It means a lot. Thank you. I love it.
- Amazed
I continue to be amazed how much you can give, with 5 crusty loaves and 2 small fish.
I continue to be amazed at the room in your home, for the street kids and outcasts, orphaned alone…
The fighter within standing tall, honouring the poor is your call.
From on high your cry is heard
In reply, a Heavenly word
Well done my good and faithful servant
Wow, this is great. - The Lady
Can you see that lady, lighting up the crowd, a presence and elegance, regal and proud.
Pointing the way, with clarity and poise
Seeing the path through the pain and noise
A crowd of people pressing in,
wanting to catch the joy you bring.
Splash it around, walking tall,
Everywhere your shadow falls
There is nothing you need, just be you,
A much-loved lady, through and through
Wow, this is great. - Hope Through Pain
Through the darkness and the pain
The call of life, a tender gain
Time will reveal…new treasures found,
Faith and hope, a growing sound.
A family man, a passionate beat,
A bleeding heart guides your feet.
A rhythmical pulse, a cry to belong,
A voice to the lonely is your song.
It’s time to live again.
Bless you brother, thank you - Welcome
Welcome
On a rock, standing strong,
Strength in weakness is your song.
The waves may crash around about,
“Believe and hope”, I hear your shout.
In you they find a constant beat,
A point where all the colours meet.
Pivotal axis, every shade,
The gift of welcome is your trade.
Thank you john for this beautiful Poem. its soo nice of you, thank you sooo sooo much. - In Memorial
I was asked to write this for someone's memorial service who I didn't know
Just for a moment the prodigal returned,
The fun filled xxxx for whom we had yearned.
Special moments, joined as one,
A different life had just begun.
Shining light in darkened places,
Hope afresh to lonely faces.
But suddenly you left…..a hole in our heart.
A terrible yearning keeps us apart.
A family man, a life of giving,
A friend of many, extravagant living.
A Father, a son, a brother, a friend,
A life lived for others until the end.
Can you hear him in the breeze….in your heart with every beat,
We shout it aloud until we meet.
Xxxx we are proud of you.
John, absolutely beautiful.
I read it and cried and then had to leave work and travel home.
It’s absolutely amazing and I love it.
Thank you so much. - Nothing Wasted
What can I say, so much to unravel,
The journey of life, as you travel.
A point in time, so great the cost
But nothing was wasted, nothing lost.
A treasure chest in your heart
Every gift for you to start,
to embrace the day and the coming year
Life and healing, nothing to fear.
Listen intently, follow the call,
Be bold, be strong, stand up tall.
It’s time to live again.
