WHAT DO YOU SEE?

I see colourful butterflies, waiting their time,
words tumbling theatrically, truth and rhythm.
I see battle scars, too many to name,
and precious gems from fire and flames.

I see a cacophony of colour, nations and tribes
and shame locked away, secured with bribes
I see faith upon faith pulling us through,
and wide open spaces, diverse and true.

I see life rising with every breath,
and uncrossed rivers, life or death.
I see fragility and strength hand in hand
and the blood of passion on the land.

It’s time to live again.
