My Foe

My foe, the very essence of who I fight against is what a long to embrace

Like a poltergeist following me from house to house

The algorithm of my own familiar pain always disturbs me

Targeted, focussed

My own damaged self causing destruction

I yearn to stop running, to embrace my companion

At home together co-existing

No longer unwelcome, a part of me

The gold that it forms for all to see

It’s time to live again
